Sparkz in conjunction with Cool Effect Inc., a Bay Area based nonprofit dedicated to supporting projects around the world that reduce carbon emissions, funds project Cooking With Gas. This project builds biogas digesters for families that capture methane emissions from waste and convert it to renewable energy. The project exlusively targets low income rural households in Chinas Sichuan province. Benefits include reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, custthe use of coal in households and improves human health due to cleaner air for these rural famiies.
